In the archival sub-section, you will find utilities for your Mac or PC to backup a floppy created on the S-760. Atari users can go here.

In the OS sub-section, you will find the image of the last S-760 operating system disk created with the utilities found under archival. Mac or PC version.

If you are looking in this sub-section for sample disks, go to the Sgroup sample archive where you will find the entire S-770 floppy library here as Sdisk images.

DART

DART version 1.5.3 is the predecessor to Apple Disk Copy. Although it dates from 1993, it is the only utility with S-Mac below that will image any floppy that the Finder cannot mount. Working with System 7.1 to 9.2.2 and freeware.

Floppy Image

Floppy Image version 2.3.1 is a powerful utility that can create self-extracting and compressed images. It also enables using backdrop pictures and dialog display. Working with Windows 98/ME/2K/XP. Shareware at $15. Author's website is here. Alternatively, version 1.4 (freeware) can be downloaded here.

S-Mac S-Mac is the version of S-Disk for Macintosh, written by Terje Finstad for the Sgroup in 1992. It works with out and sdk images just like S-Disk. I prefer using DART as it is faster but S-Mac has the advantage of being able to create labels out of images. S-Disk S-Disk was written back in 1993 by Nic Grant (g'day mate) and it became the standard floppy image utility for use with Roland S samplers. It has served the Roland community very well but, unfortunately, it was never updated to a Windows version which is why I prefer to use Floppy Image. The version here is 1.1.

DART compressed image in MacBinary format, decompress using StuffIt or equivalent. You can also use Disk Copy to write back theimage to floppy. Floppy Image compressed self-extracting image. Once on your drive, double-click on the file and follow the prompt. And marvel at the fancy graphics ;-)

OS 2.24 for Mac OS 9.2 or earlier. For OS X, have a friend with a PC !   OS 2.24 for all Windows versions.

I used to make lots of different versions available but there was no point really. If you need an other version, contact me. The OP-760-1 needs v.2.1.2 as minimum.
